Vertical FFS – Cross web
The FFS machines allow the entire bag forming process to be carried out on the same machine : Forming, Filling and Sealing the bags.
The vertical machine (VFFS) allows the film to be converted around a forming collar, which creates a tube for filling. In the Cross web version, the zipper is placed crosswise on the film in front of the collar and will be completely sealed when the bag is removed.
The Cross web machine is mainly used for pillow bags or side gussets.
