Vertical FFS – Crossweb
FFS machines enable the complete formation of a pouch on the same machine: forming, filling, and sealing the pouches.
The vertical (VFFS) machine allows the film to be shaped around a forming collar, which creates a tube for filling. For the Crossweb version, the zipper is placed transversally on the film upstream of the forming collar and will be completely sealed when the pouch is detached.
The Crossweb machine is mainly used for pillow or side-gusseted pouches.
