Our range of pouches with an EVOH barrier
EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) is a polymer primarily used for its oxygen barrier properties. It is often employed in the food packaging industry to extend product shelf life by protecting against oxygen, aromas, and other gases.
EVOH is generally co-extruded between layers of other plastics to form an effective multilayer barrier while remaining economical. It is a common choice for food product packaging, cosmetic containers, and in some cases, for medical applications where a protective barrier is necessary.
