Sustainable packaging for food
Flexico offers a comprehensive range of food packaging designed to preserve product freshness, make everyday handling easier, and meet consumer expectations: practicality, safety, sustainability, and reduced food waste. Our pouches and closure systems are suitable for all applications—from direct sales and retail to e-commerce.
Freshness-preserving food packaging
Our food pouches provide optimal protection against moisture, odours and oxidation—while remaining lightweight and cost-effective to transport. Thanks to high-performance closure systems (Zipgrip®, Sensogrip®, sliders, adhesive flaps, tin-tie wire closures or spouts for Doypacks), your products stay fresh for longer and are easier to portion and use in everyday life.
Sustainable food packaging
Our solutions are available in recycled, recyclable, or bio-based materials and reduce the environmental footprint without compromising technical performance. We also offer reusable packaging that fits a circular economy model and meets the growing demand for more responsible solutions.
Packaging for in-store sales & take-away
For snacks and take-away, we offer simple, cost-effective, and quick-to-deploy non-resealable pouches.
For in-store presentation, our Doypacks as well as pouches with hooks or hang holes ensure strong product visibility and an improved shopping experience.
For e-commerce, we develop durable, sealed shipping pouches that guarantee the integrity of your products and enable secure delivery.
Develop the right packaging for your food product—together
Yes. All our food packaging complies with applicable EU regulations and ensures maximum safety for direct contact with food.
That depends on the product type: high-barrier pouches for sensitive foods, transparent pouches or pouches with a viewing window for maximum shelf visibility, resealable formats for products consumed in multiple portions, or shipping pouches for online retail. Our experts will help you choose the best solution.
For freezing, materials must remain flexible at low temperatures, withstand cold without cracking, and provide an adequate barrier against moisture and oxygen. Particularly suitable are:
LDPE – low-density polyethylene: Very flexible, cold-resistant, and ideal for food contact. One of the most reliable options for freezing.
PE/EVOH-PE – polyethylene / EVOH barrier / polyethylene: A multilayer material with a high oxygen barrier thanks to EVOH—ideal for sensitive frozen products such as ready meals or aromatic products.
PET/PE – polyethylene terephthalate / polyethylene: PET provides stability, PE provides flexibility at low temperatures—suitable for more robust pouches or products subject to higher mechanical stress.
PET met/PE – metallised PET / polyethylene: Very good barrier against light and oxygen, suitable for more sensitive products, but less flexible than LDPE.
PET/Alu/PE – PET / aluminium / polyethylene: Excellent barrier against moisture, oxygen, and odours. Less ideal for applications where high flexibility is required.
