What are the impacts of the reform
of the circular economy?
White paper
2020 update with the new provisions.
Since 2013, the circular economy and plastic recycling have moved from good intentions to concrete actions.
The situation is urgent: 10 tons of plastic are produced every second worldwide.
However, only a small amount of this plastic is recovered and recycled: a fraction estimated by the UN at only 9%. Regarding waste management, 12% of the plastic consumed is incinerated.
To accelerate the transition to a greener economy, the government has set a goal: 100% of the plastic used must be recycled starting in 2025.
This white paper provides you with all the keys to understanding the objectives of this announced change in order to make the right decisions and anticipate the impacts of this transformation.
